I am no longer a student of Architecture. My heart wasn't in it, despite what my mind wanted so stubbornly to believe. Fortunately, my professor recognized that when neither I nor my former professors could, and gave me an out before I truly sold my soul.

I'm not sure what I'm doing now. I've lost focus - rather, my focus has shifted and I'm not sure my life can shift fast enough to keep up. Regardless, I've been reduced to the only art I truly ever had even the slightest understanding of: The written word. I'll continue playing with graphics - primarily graphic design that requires little or no spatial understanding, or ability to draw or sketch. I've done some work in that regard, primarily in logos that don't yet have a company or a product to grace. Like most of my "architecture", they remain confined to the realm of the simply artistic, rather than the functional; a dream who keeps promising me it will manifest... Yet, it doesn't. Maybe I'll see if I can post some of it.

Either way, I'm suffering from Architecture withdrawal. It's kind of like a drug. You do it long enough, no matter how much it hurt, you miss it. Anyway, I find myself pulling all-nighters simply because I can, for the rush of it. Right now, I haven't slept since Tuesday. Before I fell asleep, at four o'clock Tuesday morning, I'd been awake since Sunday. Don't bother reminding me that it's not healthy - that's why I'm not in Architecture anymore. I guess I'm having trouble adjusting to the downtime...

Anyway, some stuff coming up. Slow, at first. I've got ideas, I just have to write them. Also, I'm coming home like, this afternoon, so I'll be upstate until... Well, at least Black Friday.
